MY DEGREES, HEALTH PROMOTION, AND CERTIFICATES
In this section I will be addressing my education,
as well as health promotion projects, and certificates I have earned.
HEALTH FAIR 2020
The following three slides show the posters I made for a health fair at Utah Valley University. I decided to do mine on Body Image in Men and Women because I feel at some point in our lives we all struggle with how we perceive our bodies.
I wanted to provide support and information to improve body image for both men and women because poor body image can affect anyone at anytime.
HEALTH FAIR 2020 POSTER ONE
Body Image in Men and Women
I designed this poster to reflect what a lot of us think about when we have poor body image. We may think we need to eat less, tone up, loose weight, be sexy, be masculine, workout excessively, compare ourselves to others, get plastic surgery to fit the beauty ideals, suffer mentally, hate ourselves, and maybe even think our lives will magically get better once we hit that "magic number" on the scale.Â
I then decided to put colorful air quotes symbolizing that reaching out for help can change our lives and that there's always hope.

Body Image in Men and Women
This was the second poster I designed for the health fair. I wanted to show some similarities and differences in men and women when it comes to the development of body image. I wanted to include men because I feel body image isn't talked about with men as much and I want them to feel that they have a good support system for their recovery as well.

Body Image in Men and Women
This was my favorite poster I designed. I wanted to show that there's always hope, and with a good support system you can learn to improve your body image. I included a diverse group of people in all walks of life to symbolize that no matter who you are, you deserve to feel good in your body and that life should be enjoyed. I included six suggestions to improving body image as well. In addition to the posters I also created a brochure.
